Bearcat-of- the-Week honours went to goalie, Kevin Resop. Last Saturday, in St. Stephen, he backstopped the Bearcats en-route to a 2-1 win ending a losing streak that stretched six games. Sunday, in Edmundston, he was busier but the team came out on the short end of a 3-1 verdict. Over the three game road trip, he and Alec MacDonald allowed just six goals, clearly giving the team the chance to win.

He got his hockey start on the streets of his home town before donning the blades with the Elleton Eels. He soon moved on to the Tampa Bay Lightning 96 “AAA” Program. Next up was a two year stint with the Shattuck St. Mary’s Program. As a goalie with the Boston Jr. Bruins (U18) in 2013-2014, he was named Goaltender of the Year in the USPHL (1.84 GAA). The Halifax Mooseheads drafted him in 2014 and over the next three years played 79 Moosehead games. The Bearcats obtained his junior rights from the OCN Blizzard in July. He comes into the Break with a 2.77 GAA complied in 24 appearances.

The Truro Bearcats wish each and all a happy and safe Holiday Season.

No games scheduled until January 4th when the Bearcats are in New Glasgow to face the Crushers.

The next home game is set for Friday, January 5th when the front-running Edmundston Blizzard are in town.
