Bearcat-of- the-Week honours went to goalie, Jason Rioux. Heís been a busy goalie since coming to Truro and that should continue into the new year. To date, heís appeared in 23 games posting a 3.01 GAA, .910 Save Percentage and a 11-8-4 record. He will be the backbone of Bearcat success going forward.

At the Midget level, he moved to Riviere-du-loup playing three seasons with the College Notre-Dame Albatros. After 18 games in his third season, he accepted a call to the Moncton Wildcats where he made 9 appearances to complete that year. He spent all of the 2014-2015 season with the Wildcats.

Last year he suited up with the Dieppe Commandos, competing in 27 regular games and 11 more in the teamís playoff run where he compiled an impressive 2.52 GAA. Truro acquired his rights at the end of last year. In November he was a member of the Eastlink South MHL All-Star team which competed in the Eastern Challenge in Cornwall, ON. The MHLís third busiest goalie was a 2012 pick of the Val díOr Foreurs of the QMJHL.

The Bearcats are in Yarmouth tonight to face the Mariners.

Saturday, the Bearcats are at the RECC to face the visiting County Aces. That game gets underway at 7:00 pm.
