Bearcat-of-the-Week honours went to forward, Trey Sturge. He picked up two goals and three assists over the last three games, earning Third Star in Amherst and First Star in Truro. He currently leads the team in scoring and is one of three rookie forwards making an impact with the Bearcats.
He came up through the Nova Junior X-men Major Bantam Program before spending two seasons of U-18 hockey, first with the Cape Breton Tradesmen, then with the Sydney Mitsubishi Rush, last year scoring at a point-a-game rate. He was Truro’s First Round pick in the 2020 draft, as well as being selected by the Shawinigan Cataractes. His adjustment to the Junior level has been impressive.

The Teddy Bear Toss is good to go on Saturday, November 28th. Fans can place Teddy Bears in Bins when entering the arena. Covid 19 restrictions prevent the customary “toss”.
