Bearcat-of-the-Week honours went to 20-year-old forward, Bair Gendunov. In Thursday’s loss in Pictou County, he was named First Game Star based on his 2 goal, 2 assist effort. Saturday, in Amherst he scored 1 and assisted on another and was named Game Second Star in a winning cause. It was a great week, giving him 5 goals and 8 assists in his five games as a Bearcat and 21 points overall for the season. He was a good acquisition.
He came to the MHL following the 2017 – 2018 season when he split the season between the Markham Royals and Burlington Cougars of the OJHL. In his first South Shore Lumberjack season, he scored 24 and assisted on 23 others. Last year his 72 points (35 goals, 37 assists) had him finish high in regular season scoring. He was traded to the Bearcats 8 games into this season. He was a 2017 draft pick of the Saginaw Spirit (OHL) from the Mississauga U18 Rebels. He’s a player.
