Community

Updates on the Bearcats involvement within the community of Truro and surrounding areas are featured on this page. Here are some ongoing activities:

– At each Bearcat home game, $100.00 is donated to a non-profit organization by the Bible Hill Kinsmen. If the Bearcats score a powerplay goal an additional $100.00 is donated.
– Players participate in minor hockey practices, assisting their assigned team in any way requested.
– The Bearcats have been active with the Big Brothers Big Sisters In School Mentor Program.
– The Bearcats pitch in at numerous school events throughout the season such as Literacy Week, the Heritage Fair, and many more.
– The Bearcats have provided donations, or participated in: Dairy Queen Miracle Treat Day, CanSkate, Truro Supervised Skating Club, 2006 Salmon River Hockeyville NHL game, 2011 Canada Games Hub Bid, 2013 Jack Rabbit Run, Pink in the Rink, and various others.
